The Story

Nino Manfredi is an undisputed icon of Italian cinema, beloved for his diverse comedic roles. Now, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth, we're screening a brand new restoration of one of his most beloved comedies: We All Loved Each Other So Much (1974), or C’eravamo tanto amati. Here, Manfredi teams with master director Ettore Scola to produce a comedy that's both hilarious and heartbreaking.

This screening features an introduction by C.J. Johnson, President of the Film Critics Circle of Australia, film and television critic for ABC radio's Nightlife and Head Lecturer in Screen Storytelling at Sydney Film School.

Presented alongside the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Sydney and Cinema Reborn. Film restoration generously provided by Cineteca Nazionale
