The Story

Following fragments of improvisation and collaboration through the years, James Gales (Piano) and Asher Elazary (Electronics) have coalesced as Magic I. Their approach to free improvised music draws upon an eclectic range of influences - from experimental videogame music to harsh noise - grounded in a shared history of classical instrumental practice. Post-minimalist piano gestures meld with the digital in dialogue of organic and algorithmic feedback.
