Young Frankenstein

After tackling the Western, Brooks took on another classic American genre: the horror movie. This affectionate riff on Mary Shelley’s monster story features Gene Wilder at his manic best as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, who inherits his infamous grandfather’s estate and begins to make experiments of his own, but runs into more than a few comic complications.
