A roaring adventure yarn in the classic tradition starring Australian icon Chips Rafferty.

In New Guinea, a small expedition led by Steve McAllister (Rafferty) makes its way towards Paradise Valley, beyond the head of the Sepik River, where Sharkeye Kelly, an Australian adventurer, has discovered oil. In the party are a malaria-stricken crocodile hunter, Jeff Clayton, and a United Nations doctor, Louise Demarcet.

The indigenous population help Steve prepare an airfield, but tension arises after Louise takes blood samples from some sick children.
