A touching family drama” - JewishFilmFestivals.org

A Jewish family embarks on the winding path toward reconciliation in this winning family story from Hungarian filmmaker Ádám Breier.

Tamas is a gruff but tender boxing coach in contemporary Budapest whose relationship with his son Ivan has frayed to the point of estrangement. After becoming Orthodox, Ivan moved away to Israel where he had a son that Tamas has yet to meet. However, when Tamas's beloved wife unexpectedly passes away, Tamas, Ivan and Ivan’s young son are brought together for her funeral. As they sit shiva and mourn for a week, they embark on a journey of rediscovery, healing, and understanding.

A runaway hit at Jewish film festivals around the world, Breier’s family drama is masterfully acted and directed, offering a rare glimpse into Jewish life in Budapest and maintaining a perfectly balanced tone between comedy and pathos.
