"It’s rare for a film to simultaneously balance such wildly divergent tones, to interweave big laughs with gut-wrenching discomfort, but Seligman pulls it off" –  The New York Times

Shiva Baby has received universal acclaim for its culturally incisive mix of laugh-out-loud comedy and unbearable tension. Now we're offering you the chance to experience the film in all its cringe-inducing glory ahead of its wide theatrical release!

But that's not all. Guests to this screening will also receive a Babka Chos Top on arrival thanks to our friends at Serendipity Ice Cream. This one-of-a-kind cinema delicacy consists of vanilla bean & cinnamon swirl icecream, mixed with chunks of actual babka cake from a local bakery, making for one delicious Kosher-certified snack.

Shiva Baby

A near college graduate, Danielle, gets paid by her sugar daddy and rushes to meet her neurotic parents at
a family shiva. Upon arrival, she is accosted by various estranged relatives about her appearance and lack
of post-grad plans, while her confident ex-girlfriend, Maya, is applauded by everyone for getting into law

Danielle's day takes an unexpected turn when her sugar daddy, Max, arrives at the shiva with his
accomplished wife, Kim, and crying baby. As the day unfolds, Danielle struggles to keep up different
versions of herself, fend off pressures from her family and confront her insecurities without completely
losing it.

There's no place like home...

Due to the temporary Stay At Home orders, Ritz Cinemas will be closed until restrictions are lifted. Thank you for your understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming you back to the movies soon.
